Kendra & Beau Engagement Session

Ah! I remember when I got engaged. It was a blur. The moment felt like I was in another land (which I was! I was in Hawaii!). I remember thinking I had waited for this day all my life. It did not come easy. I am a lucky girl. That was the day my story started...Only 6 months to plan the wedding. Engagement photos? That was the furthest from my mind. However, I knew those photos would be a memory I could never make up.

I thought about what I wanted that day my husband and I were getting our own pictures done. I had an ah hah moment, "I would love to be taking pictures like this"...

What would I have changed? What would I have done differently? The answer is, I wish I was more simple, less stressed...however, those pictures really reflected the love we had for one another. When I book my engagement sessions, I ask my clients to share their story. Although may seem personal, I want to know. I want to be able to incorporate YOU as a COUPLE and the LOVE YOU HAVE FOR ONE ANOTHER, EXCITEMENT....in EVERY PICTURE.

I met Beau and Kendra through a friend.

You could ask Kendra, I spent some time on the phone with her asking her to share her story and how he proposed. The story was so sweet. Of course!

You see, even though I was not there to see him propose and capture that moment, she did share with me about their picnic proposal that December evening.

You will see in some of their photos, little "things" that was a part of his proposal that I wanted to incorporate in their pics.

This couple was such a hoot and so willing to "break the rules!". Both full of energy, and true love.

Not to mention so much fun!
I share with you a few more of the moments I captured with this couple. Super Troopers here finding personality in all of their photos! I am so honored to be able to share and make precious memories with couples that are so excited to start their lives! I tried to make this shoot less stressful and more casual, After all, that is what they wanted!!!

Thank you Beau and Kendra for allowing me to capture the engagement of two special people. I hope you enjoyed your session as much as I did! Best Wishes on the wedding planning!

Capturing their smiles is my passion!

Sports Photography

I recently had the awesome oppurtunity to shoot some sports photos at Freestyle Crossfit, Downtown Las Vegas.  If you are looking for a gym that will give you results and a place to meet genuine people, Freestyle is the place. As I was there to shoot some of the warm up this day, Jake, the owner was practicing his walking handstand.

Cody happen to be coaching this evening! He is one of the coaches at Freestyle we LOVE!

He inspires, motivates, and really is a fun coach to be around.

The warm up begins! Looks easy huh? NOT really!

Let me tell you, Some warm ups are not easy! However, when you are having fun while working out, and seeing results as well, it makes more of a reason to show up for class!
Cody will motivate you, show proper form, and always be there to call a NO REP!

The members were sweating before the workout began!

Of course my future crossfitter was proposing the next day's WOD on the board!
while I am trying to inspire others to write their goals on the new GOAL board!

Needless to say I wanted to workout, SO, I did not catch the WOD shots!
Freestyle is a place I go to have one hour of me time and feel so good when I leave. When I look at these pictures, they create a warm place in my heart. Good people, good coaches, and real results! Looking to join Crossfit? Anyone can do it! Just an FYI, I am 6 months pregnant and still working out there. Modifications are needed, but I won't give up! If I can do it, you can do it!
Check it out!

Maybe we JUST MIGHT meet at crossfit! Happy moments until we meet again!

Blogging on and sharing

Hi friends, thank you for stopping by our blog. Just wanted to let you know our website will be up and running within the next few weeks for you to view your photos, and even purchase them. We feel so blessed that this business is taking off to a new level, we're really focusing on giving back to the community by doing charity work, special events, and/or making those that Need some extra love.

One of my goals for this year is to really focus on a few charities that need us for photography. This summer I lost a very special person to me in a tragic car accident. It was my nephew. All we have left after his death for pictures. I realize how important my job as a photographer is any family. It was at that moment that I realized how fast life flies by us.

Within a matter of six months, we were told my niece had cancer. She is only 15 years old, and going through chemotherapy right now as we speak. She is the most positive, energetic, loving, teenager.

She's so grateful for her life and the things that she has.  I share this with you because I think it's important. This is why want to give back to the community. Life goes by fast, things happen, and people really pull together. I really want to make a difference in others' lives as they have in mind.

I think about those that are sick or families that do not have the funds to purchase photography of them and their family.  I want to Be that one making those smiles and memories!

To give you a little bit of background about me, this is my part-time business but I do on the side because I have a passion for it. It recently has taken off to a new level with the support of my husband, and family. I am a mama of three silly children, and married to a awesome husband.

I have amazing siblings too! I am a teacher full-time by day and a involved dance mom! I love photography because I find so much pleasure in seeing what i am capable of and each personality of my clients! I spend hours prior to Our photo shoots prepping ideas, or pulling together fun, new, photography ideas. I really feel like my creativity brings a lot of passion to photography.

We live in a very competitive photography market, and I feel like I'm not trying to catch up with that. My goal is to make sure that I give you the photos that create lifetime memories.

Thank you for letting me share! I hope I can be a part of your special memory someday! For charity work please email takeyourpickphotograpy@gmail.com

Family photos

Family is so important to me. I love seeing how each family I photo is different and unique! I want to share a few of our recent family photo sessions.

I feel so blessed to be able to photo some great families. I love taking photos and my passion for creativity makes my mind go crazy!

Lana and her family was so much fun! They were so energetic and full of life!
]
Lana's kids surely showed their love for their mama.

Then came the big family of all girls!

You would think that their mom was one of the kids too as she looks so young. The Miller Family!

This photo shoot was special as mom and dad did their engagement photos in the same place!

I love being a part of their memories!
